…the most beautiful and typical places of Switzerland! I know we’re experiencing a very hard time at the moment. A time where we are meant to stay home and not to travel. And for some of us this might be a very creative and interesting experience. For others it’s probably a huge nigthmare.
Because it feels like the goverment cut off a bit of your personal freedom. However, it’s the time to focus on yourself and things you always wanted to do but never had the time to do so. For me personally, it’s quite interesting and exciting so far. In the end I think it’s all about your mindset and how you react towards new challenges and changes.
Nevertheless, I didn’t want to talk about the current crisis and how to master those situations in this blog post, but this might be a good topic for one of my next ones. Anyways, I’d rather want to distract you a little bit and let you to find time to dream about beautiful places or might inspire you for your next travel destination, when this is all over of course.
And often you don’t have to go far to discover real beauty. Well, the iconic village Zermatt is not new to discover for me, however many Swiss residents haven’t seen this place in reality. Probably only from pictures of the most famous mountain of the world – the Matterhorn. It’s THE mountain and I am always impressed how beautiful it is. I don’t know, I’ve seen it many times, but still when I am standing there in front of it, it’s always magical and breathtaking. If you haven’t been there, you definitely have to go once. You won’t regret it!
If you are worried now, that the next time you probably will be allowed to travel there is in summer and there’s no snow anymore. Well, I can assure Zermatt is also beautiful in summer too. You can do beautiful hikes to the little mountain lakes (e.g. Riffelsee) where the Matterhorn is reflected in. I tell you, it’s truly stunning and very instagramable, too.
So, now keep dreaming while thinking of your next travel destination and stay healthy!
Take care & write you soon…
