Where to get the inspiration from…

…is indeed a good question I get asked quite often. And I have to admit it’s not always easy to be creative, to come up with new ideas and projects. But this is actually what our job is all about, right? And I think it’s for everyone the same working in a creative job such as artists, painters, comedians, entertainers, authors, singers and many many more.

And it’s also the case for us content creators or influencers, if you want to name it like this, but as you know me, I don’t like this expression too much. However, as the name content CREATOR already says, it’s about creating and creating is coming from creative. Means, we have to or we try to create creative content on a daily basis. Always trying to come up with new ideas and things as we don’t want our community to get bored.

And as fun as our job is and as easy as it might looks, it is as challenging. Challenging in a way that you have a certain pressure from your community, not in a bad way, don’t get me wrong, but it’s still there and I think like for every artist the same: A pressure to meet the expecations of their fans, followers, community and so on. And I think it’s not mainly the fans or their communities that put the pressure on the artists but more the artist or creator itself. Because he or she has some expectations towards what to deliver and how to deliver it. But I think this is also what makes it interesting and worth working in such a field. Because like this, you won’t stop and be satisfied with what you’re doing or the way you’re doing it.

Because as we know if you snooze, you loose. So it’s about newly inventing yourself, questioning your path, your work and learn out of your mistakes and try to adjust your goals and your vision. And it’s about getting new inspiration, new ideas and sometimes doing a change, because change means growth.

And now the big question is how to get the inspiration or where to get it from? Believe, I am also struggling sometimes with that, although I’d say I am quite creative with lots of ideas and visions, but there are times where I am not creative at all. Like sitting in front of my notebook not knowing what content to plan next. And what helps me then, is changing my perspective, going into nature, discover new places, meeting new people or just watch them and try to get inspired by different things. Inspiration doesn’t always come from the magazine or from Instagram. Sometimes it’s a new place or even a familiar one, a new thing, a new person, a new book or just something else.

Lastly and most importantly I’d say, is to accept that there are some uninspiring periods and that it is totally normal. And your source of inspiration will be coming back for sure, promised!

Take care & write you soon…
