…only at second sight. Because when I tell you about the busy program we had during the two days of this getaway, then it seems rather stressful. Well yes, we had quite a lot on the program when my mum, my sister and I decided to make this kind of family getaway. But busy doesn’t always mean stressful. When you love what you do and do it with the right people it’s relaxing no matter how much is going on. Don’t you agree?
It all started with a shopping trip to Lucerne. Yeah right, I told you about this city last year already, one of my favorite ones in Switzerland. It is not only famous for its numerous sights, there are also good shopping possibilities. And one fact you have to know: my mother is even more into shopping than I am. And as you know, I love shopping and trying on and buying new clothes and stuff. So you can see, that means something. When I slowly got tired, she was still full of energy and wanted to hit this store and the other one and even one more.
As soon as all the three of us finally were a bit exhausted of shopping we moved to Vitznau where the beautiful hotel Vitznauerhof celebrated their season opening. And actually I don’t need much words to describe how amazing the venue is. I think the saying “a picture says more than 1000 words” is very accurate here. Just have a look at the beautiful photos we took. Isn’t it wonderful? The location with direct access to the lake and own landing stage for the boats is just WOW! Moreover, the hotel has a good mixture of antique and modern design elements and we felt very welcomed from the very first moment.
So we could enjoy a great season opening party with my family and familiar faces from the blogger and celebrity scene in Switzerland. It was just a relaxing get-together with delicious food and drinks.
And the day after, my sister and I woke up early to take pictures with the sunrise and the good light in the morning. I think the early waking-up was totally worth it. And my sister as a photographer did quite a good job, don’t you think?
