As the old saying goes: Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadow. Why? Well, that’s easy, isn’t it? If you face the sun, the shadow lies behind you and not next or even in front of you. And I totally agree with that. But it’s normal to see the shadow from time to time. And it’s not a bad thing at all. I think we sometimes even need to see the shadow to grow. And otherwise we take all the good things we’ve got and receive for granted.
Dandy fashion is not a new trend. Not at all. It’s a fashion trend, which is already lasting for many many years, even centuries. And it hasn’t changed that much. It seems as if todays modern gentlemen (I’ve talked about the definition already in a previous post) are aware of the „old“ elements of dandy fashion and reuse it today again. There are different kinds of the dandy fashion. The start of „dandyism“ was more over-the-top, which means a lot of jewelry, velvet and even wigs.
It’s getting too cold now for my leather jacket, unfortunately. Even if the sun is shining for some hours and still gives some warmth, a leather jacket is not enough anymore. However, I still see people running around in t-shirts at this temperature, so maybe they will even wear the leather jacket in winter. For photoshoots its absolutely fine, but for spending some time outside, definitely not.
You already know that I’m totally in love with leather jackets and elegant suits in general. For many years already I just adore these pieces, also because of my previous occuption of course. For me, both of them are must-haves for every man. The leather jacket is so easy to combine with everything and you’re just dressed within seconds. This fits my schedule as I’m often in a rush and don’t have the time for a long styling in the early morning.
