Santorini – a dream place to stay…

…especially when you have the chance to stay in a wonderful five star boutique hotel such as the Istoria Hotel in Santorini. Just the right place to enjoy some calm and relaxing days to finish off my summer vacation.

After spending 10 days in Mykonos, where there was so much going on with beach clubs, fancy restaurants, parties, beach time and so on. Santorini was welcoming us with tranquility. And after entering the hotel’s archway we immediately felt like home. The staff was so friendly and helpful and assisted us with everything we needed. And if you’ve read my previous blog posts carefully, you know that this is what counts most for me when staying in hotels – a good service.

But also besides the wonderful service and treatment we enjoyed, the hotel itself is just so beautiful and with lots of history – like the hotel name already says: Istoria. There are 12 unique and stylisch suites built in former horse stalls. Each room is spacious and with lots of love for the details. And the highlight was for sure when we openend the door to the terrace: a private pool.

However, the hotel pool was also stunning and inviting to spend all day there to do sunbathing, relaxing and swimming. Moreover, the food, which was offered in the hotel restaurant Mr. E. was just so delicious, no matter if you go there for the a-la-carte breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Overall, we really enjoyed finishing off our summer vacation there and were a bit sad leaving Santorini and this place after 3 days already. But one thing is for sure, we definitely will come back one day.
