Linen – the fabric that calls for summer…

…and from which the most summer clothes are made of. Or let’s say it’s the one fabric in men’s clothing that really gets me into that summer feeling. Don’t you feel the same?

Linen is a fabric which is light and permeable to air which makes it very comfortable to wear, especially on a hot summer day. And this kind of days we’re experiencing right now in beautiful Montreux. It’s above 30 degrees Celsius and very humid, so all I can go for now, are some linen clothes.

Because I couldn’t imagine wearing jeans pants at these temperatures, nor a normal cotton shirt or t-shirt. It must be something light and airy and not too tight as speaking of the cut. Apart from the functional benefits linen clothes have during summer, it also has a very summery look.

I mean wearing a beige linen pants combined with a white shirt and a nice pair of sunglasses in a brown tone calls already for summer, no? But this season I discovered a new very summery accessory – the slippers. Not comparable to flipflops which are rather to go to the beach or pool but a more stylish and classy version of it. The ones I am wearing on the pictures are so comfortable that I didn’t want to take it off and combined it to many different outfits. And a big plus is that your feet also get some sun whereas otherwise they will be always very white because they’re covered by the shoes.

So, I think I am ready for more hot summer days with the right outfit to enjoy it and to avoid that it’s going to be a torture. What about you
