…and the Christmas ones are the best during that time of the year. I could wear them quite often, since they are just the perfect piece to wear having temperatures below 10 degrees. Combining them with one or two additional layers and a scarf does even work for the cold winter days. And well, there are really cool pieces in all the shops. Yeah, we all know the “lovely” Christmas sweaters (mostly knitted) we always got during our childhood as “the perfect gift” for Christmas and birthdays. Unfortunately, they were not as cool and fashionable as today.
And I have to admit, I wasn’t really into them in my earlier days. So I think it’s funny to see how time changes our attitude and our perception. I really like to wear them now, even though if they do have some similarities with the ones I refused to wear. Beside the fact that they keep me warm, they are really photogenic and tend to be used for funny and stylish pictures. It gives a lovely variety to leather jackets, jeans outfits and basic t-shirts.
In addition to these things, these sweaters just have something special about them. Whenever I wear them (here in lovely, cozy surroundings), I feel not just only warm but kind of peaceful. And when I look into the mirror, it just makes me smile and gives me that sparkle in my eyes, almost like a kid before unwrapping the Christmas presents. And it’s funny to see that these sweaters are much underrated as they fit to every outfit without much effort, not only during the festive season.
As a variation, I like to change between the sweaters and turtlenecks. The latter can be a bit uncomfortable around the neck (as the name tells it) but they are cozy as well. It just depends on the mood you’re in and how warm it should keep you.
