… a beautiful hotel. Reason enough for a short trip to Geneva, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland, I’d say. And to be honest, since it’s on the other side of the country, I haven’t been here too often, which is a shame.
So, I was quite excited when I got the invitation by Dior to attend the opening event of “Passione Caracciola” which is a classic car rally throughout Switzerland with start in Geneva. Moreover, the event was held at the famous and amazing five-star Grand Hotel Kempinski, where we could stay overnight. You probably understood now, why I didn’t hesitate, not even one second, to join the event, although it was in the middle of a busy week and I needed to travel directly from Paris to Geneva and back to Zurich in like 2 days. But it was totally worth it.
And you probably know, I love to travel and to discover new places and to meet different people, cultures and lifestyles. I think the chance to travel and to get to know different places and people enriches our lives so much. And with all the experiences made through traveling we will grow and become even a stronger personality.
However, back to the classic cars and our short stay in one of Switzerland’s leading hotels. I have to admit, I am not that much into cars. For me a car has its functionality and if the design is nice and the speed is high, that’s pretty much ok. But it doesn’t need to be the fastest or the most expensive one. But when I’ve seen all these classic cars, it made me dreaming. It reminded me of the old movies, of the movie stars back in 1930-1950. And I had the chance to take pictures with these cars and tried to dress accordingly.
Then, it all started with a delicious dinner at Kempinski and the day after the drivers started their 4 days rally. Whereas, we decided to take the opportunity and shoot some beautiful pictures in and around the hotel and tried to relax and enjoy the moment for a short amount of time.
Take care & write you soon...
