There are uncountable quotes about body and soul and suggestions about how to keep the balance between your mind, body and soul. And of course most of the advices are right and it’s truly important to find your inner peace and balance. Nevertheless don’t underestimate how hard it is to implement it or to live according to these guidelines.
In my opinion most of the time the body shows the condition of your soul and gives an image on the outside. But it is not always the truth. Some people can hide very well what’s going on in their soul and for example just pretend to be happy. And well, sometimes it can help to go through difficult periods of your life by doing so.
Anyhow, the most important thing is to nourish both - your body and your soul. It’s far not enough to only focus on your body and providing with the “food” to keep it alive and in shape. It is even more important to take care of your mind & soul. Whatever might be the right “food” for your soul, just do it and do it on a regular basis. That could be like having long conversations with good friends, seeing your family or loved ones, reading a book, listening to music or just practicing any hobby.
Personally, I love to go down to the water, whether it’s a lake or a river, I don’t mind. But being at the water, feeling its calmness and power at the same time, allows me to recharge my body and soul, no matter if it’s in good or bad times.
