…and I love exploring cities – new ones as well as the ones I’ve already got to know a bit within the past years. You know that for sure. Traveling is the thing that sets me free. And we all know that it’s the only thing that makes us richer in the end. Learning about new cultures, new people, new religions; that’s what makes us wiser and awakens the potential in our being.
It’s not about the food or the different sights. At least, not only. For me, it’s about the whole package a city has to offer. To get an overview, I always head to the top of the city. The magical Lions Head in Capetown, the Empire State Building in New York City and here in Barcelona I prefer to see the city from above on the platform you can see on the pictures.
So many of you were asking me about this spot last year already and well, I’m gonna reveal the insider tip (kinda) now: It is Bunkers Del Carmel. So what is the point for me to see the city from above? I think it’s really simple. We often think that we’re so important human beings as if we were playing such a big role in the wide world. But seeing a city from above (especially the really big ones like New York) shows me everytime that we’re only a tiny piece in the whole story. We’re our main role in our film but we’re not the main role in the big picture. Seeing thousands of people, incredible nature and so many more things brings ourselves and our understanding in a healthy ratio.
So: Travel abroad, see all the cities you need to see for yourself and make sure to see all the details of the city from above. That’s the magic!
Take care & write you soon…
